KID MUSEUM REVIEW: ~ this is one of our favourite museums for a short visit, it is airy, spacy, does not get too crowded and easily entertains kids for a couple of hours ~ in London Museum terms it is quite a small museum but has a National History Museum section with a large variety of animals from all over the world, it even has a live beehive which is completely made of glass for all round viewing, Maya loves trying to go Queen Bee Spotting, they also have a snuggly childens book corner for a little rest time ~ it also boast a fantastic Music Museum section with an interactive sound dislay where kids can electronically try out a variety of instruments that are dislayed in cabinets before them, there is also a hands- on music section with tibetan bowlsm xylophones, turkish drums and another variety of instruments to try out -- even a song sheet to play "Twinkle Twinkle little Star" ~ the Rainforest Section has some beautiful exhibits and auditory exhibitions as well as a free coloring sheets section coloring the rainforest animals and interactive hands on puzzles of ~ there is also an ancient artifact section which even has some egyptian mummies and artifacts like canopic jars and ancient egyptian finds, The British Museum ( also a "free in london museum",) boasts a much larger Egypt Museum Section but if you are an egypt fan like Maya then this will exited you too Opening Times Horniman Museum ~ Museum Open daily 10.30am - 5.30pm. ~ Horniman Gardens Monday to Saturday 7.15am - dusk How To Find The Horniman Museum London Museum Regional Section - South ~ The Horniman Museum is situated at 100 London Road, Forest Hill, south London, on the South Circular Road (A205). ~ for a London Map on how and directions check out the Horniman Website		London boasts an amazing array of Kid friendly museums ~ some of the very famous ones and definetly kids favourites are: National History Museum ( a huge place not easily covered in a day) Science Museum ( Mayas favourite haunt with a brilliant science bookshop too ) British Museum with a most amazing egypt section) are well known but as we visit them so often we have found out all the hidden gems and will share " Insider Secrets" of how to get the most of your visit to London's museums Wax Museum home of the famous wax models and right next door to the Planetarium Tate Modern ( we love to go there on weekends and school holidays and do the amazing Art Trolley Tours) Tower of London home of the crown jewels of the british monarchy ~ there are also a lot of little known museums in London, England, that are well worth a visit especially if you want to stay away from the crowds Museum of London Transport Museum Museum of Childhood Petrie Museum Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum
