Southern Style Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients you will need for Southern Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
1 (7 oz.) pkg. or 2 c. uncooked macaroni 8 oz. (2 c.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 3/4 c. milk 3 eggs 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard Directions for Southern Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
~ Cook macaroni as per instructions on package ~ drain off excess water and keep in pan ~ add milk, eggs salt and mustard ( use mild mustard if kids dont like it too spicy) and almost all cheese into saucepan ~ ( keep 1.2 a cup of cheese for later) ~ mix all the ingredients well ~ Cook at medium heat until cheese melts ~ Put macaroni cheese mixture into 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish ~ Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of macaroni cheese. ~ Bake the macaroni 20-25 minutes or until cheese starts browning and bubbling
